Kelly Feddern, LCSW is the Founder & Owner of Highlands Counseling. She received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Baylor University and her master’s degree in social work from Texas A&M Commerce. She has over two decades of experience in social work, including 13 years at Children’s Medical Center working in both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Psychiatric Emergency Department.
Kelly works with children ages 2+, adolescents, and adults and specializes in anxiety, addiction, ADHD, OCD, behavioral and emotional challenges, grief, relationships, life transitions, and other complex experiences. Her approach is warm and individualized, with an emphasis on creating a positive, safe, and therapeutic space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow. She believes each person is unique and strives to help clients build confidence, authenticity, and a stronger sense of self.
Kelly incorporates play-based therapy, activity-based therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and ERP into her work, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs. She is an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider and Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional.
Laura Jamison, MS, LPC-Associate received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Southern Methodist University and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas at Dallas. She has experience working with women, children, and families navigating trauma, abuse, depression, and anxiety related to domestic violence. Laura has also counseled teens and supported parents navigating behavioral concerns through the Dallas Police Department First Offender Program. Prior to becoming a counselor, Laura spent more than 25 years working in the U.S. Government, leading and supporting diverse teams through complex situations.
Laura works with children ages 2+, adolescents, and adults and specializes in supporting clients through trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, and major life transitions. Her approach is direct, compassionate, and goal-oriented, helping clients develop practical coping skills, greater self-awareness, and tools they can carry into daily life.
Laura incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play-based therapy, and Person-Centered techniques into her work. As a mother of three college-aged sons, Laura also brings a personal understanding of the joys and challenges of parenting.
